Instagram New Messenger Rooms Feature for Group Video Chats

Instagram added a new feature of Messenger Rooms to invite friends to join the conversation right from the app. Video conferencing services are at boost because it is providing a medium to connect with peoples during this global pandemic staying at home. Last month  Facebook unveiled Messenger Rooms to counter the fast-growing Zoom video conferencing service.  Facebook had said at that time that it will be integrating Messenger on Instagram, and now that integration is live. Messenger rooms integration allows very much simplicity for connecting with multiple peoples at a time, We can create private video chat rooms where up to 50 participants can join.

“Starting today, you can create @messenger Rooms on Instagram and invite anyone to join,” Instagram said on Twitter.

Using messenger rooms is very easy Instagram has shared a video that shows the steps to use the new feature. You first need to go to Instagram Direct messages. There, tap on the video chat icon. Then select Create a Room. 

Now you will be able to send the invitation for the room to your Instagram friends. It will also give the option to join a room or send a link. You can choose the preferred option and if you tap on Join Room than Instagram will open the room in the Messenger app.

Messenger rooms are getting integration in all apps provided by Facebook such as Instagram and Whatsapp. From the recent reports, messenger rooms will be also available in the Whatsapp. Due to an increase in messenger rooms users, day by day the craze of zoom app is getting down and Messenger rooms are going to win the race in providing Video conferencing services. Although, Google has also made google meet free for all users which are also giving tough competition in Video conferencing field.
