Mitron app, A app that was mosty similar to the TikTok has been removed from the play store a few days ago but now it seems that the Mitron app will be again available on the play store after fixing the issues. Google play has given some guidance to the developers of the Mitron app to fix the issues which were violating the google play policy. Google has also removed the “Remove China Apps” application that was detecting the Chinese app in Android devices.
Both apps were got overnight success with millions of downloads. Recently Sameer Samat, Vice President, Android, and Google Play noted in a blog post that their team is working to fix the issues with the developers so than they can resubmit their application on play store.
“We’ve given this developer some guidance and once they’ve addressed the issue the app can go back up on Play,” Samat said while indicating Google’s communication with the Mitron app maker.
The main reason for the removal of Mitron app that it was the clone of the TikTok and providing the same experience without any value to the user. It was also found that to have a serious vulnerability that could allow attackers to take over user accounts.
